Fees & Eligibility

The cost of participation is €80/person/day.

Only the athletes who comply with the following conditions may take part in a FISU
World University Championship:
a) Be a national of the country they represent;
b) Be at least 18 and no older than 25 years of age on the 31st December of the year
of the event; for 2024, athletes must be born between the 01/01/1999 and the
31/12/2006.

Visa

When travelling to the FISU WUCR 2024 in Rotterdam you might need a Visa to enter the Netherlands. Please check here what the requirements are for you to compete in the tournament.

Cancellation policy

For the Rotterdam 2024 FISU World University Championship Rowing, the following cancellation policy applies to all participants and country’s officials:

In the event of a cancellation, our Organizing Committee (OC) will try to allocate any freed-up spaces to athletes on the waiting list. However, if the OC is unable to reallocate the spaces for alternative use, we will need to adhere to the cancellation policy. We also have included a cancellation policy for boat rentals, based on the financial agreements with our boat suppliers.

Full Cancellation:

• Participants can cancel their participation up to 3 months in advance (before 01 April 2024) free of charge.
• If participants cancel up to 2 months in advance (before 01 May 2024), they are obliged to pay 50% of the full participation fee (consisting of 4 participation days) and (if applicable) 100% of the boat rental fee.
• If participants cancel after 2 months in advance (01 May 2024 or later), they are obliged to pay 100% of the participation fee (consisting of 4 participation days) and (if applicable) 100% of the boat rental fee.

Changing of Arrival Date:

• Up to 1 month in advance (before 01 June 2024), participants can change their arrival date free of charge.
• After 1 month in advance (01 June 2024 or later), participants are able to change their arrival date from 02 July to 03 July but are still obliged to pay for the first participation day.
• After 1 month, it is not possible to change the arrival date from the 03 July to 02 July.
